On Monday, November 19, the college counselors of High School District 214 will host the annual Student-Athlete Night.
At this program, parents and students can gather in-depth information on what it takes to be a student-athlete at the college level. They also will learn about how to get recruited, the eligibility process and athletic scholarships.
The program will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Freshmen through seniors, and their parents, are invited to attend.
Participants will receive a copy of the District 214 Student-Athlete Recruitment Guide to guide them through the process. By popular demand, the program presenter will be Maureen A. Harty, Commissioner of The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
